Our local red kite was circling over me just now as I was bringing the bins in. It's probably clocked my age and marked me down as a potential meal. Hope the jackdaws and rooks in the trees opposite keep up their usual mobbing.

Alas none down in my part of Devon yet to have wondered if the Buzzards are keeping their infiltration at bay as there are plenty of Buzzards about.

I have a particular interest in the Red Kite through being in ways involved in it's re-introduction way back when I was a member of the YOC in primary school

But other news as has been reported in the Guardian over the last couple of days : A second wild Beaver has been spotted living and apparently thriving at Pensthorpe Nature Reserve in Norfolk, but as of yet the sexes of both are not known. Great shakes as the last time wild Beavers were reported living in Norfolk, was in the sixteenth century

No way! One of the early (and ongoing) attempts to encourage Red Kites was at Llangurig??? It was on the A44 by there.

Buzzards and kites were perfectly happy, flying and feeding together

It's a regular private air show!
