My favourite pic that i did (and the fav of the ffoto gallery host) was a picture of rocks on southerndown beach. I have forgotten the yechniques i used as it was a long time ago. But i achieved this really big contrast between all the sides of the stones. Looked real nice! Took me almost a whole box of paper and 3 sessions!

then find someone with a neg scanner and use that they are much better for getting your pics in the digi format!
they are getting cheaper and more common a lot of regular scanners have them encorporated now so ask around! my naighbor recently had one "thrown in" with their new computer!
A normal scanner with a negative attachment is still a normal scanner. To get improved results you need a dedicated film scanner. I almost got one a little while ago but got a few more servers instead :?:
technically i can.. when they have the tech to make more pixcels than there are particals of silver nitrate on a film...

aparently "they" reakon that film is about 120 million pixels... although this isn't too important if you're printing on 6 by 4 prints.
And even now, I think more can be achived with digital manipulation than in a dark room but I like traditional film for it's required skill. I find that I appreciate a good photo taken on film more because you can't make a bad photo and make it good, you can only make a good photo better in the dark room. You can, however make any old tat look good with digital.

I like the convenience of pocket automatics and immediacy of digital. It encourages you to take more photographs and experiment.
I've done SLR's, played (a little) at b&w and colour darkroom but it's the David Bailey attitude that appeals most to me. Better to have a compact camera with you than an SLR back at the car. I have the Canon Ixus in both 35mm and digital, and I think they're great.
Nothing fancy about this snap - just the first bushcrafty one to hand - I liked the texture of these blanks being sold for making walking sticks.

This was the first time we had seen these guys on land,

I spent 4 and a half happy months there, the day we arrived it was quite nice and sunny and a nice warm -25'c

Best camera ive owned was the Ricoh GR1 compact, the lens was so sharp you could shave with it,and it was only as big as a cigerette box.I regret selling it,a superb camera.

Excellent point - I'm sure I read on here that the secret to taking a good photo is taking lots of bad ones! A digital makes taking lots of photos and learning from your mistakes much cheaper!
I've put this picture up on here before, but I like it so I'll put it up again!
