I've got 3 old metal files from work to be turned into blades, one for me anyone else want one?

they will make good blades, are they the wide and long (bit more like rasp's than files). if they are then you should get 2 blades from each file.....

looking like a good weekend is going to be had by all....

Long narrow files mate. Old worn out ones from the workshop at work. Will bring them along for folk to play with.

Quite looking forward to the north east England gathering lol

any problems i can be contacted on 07857825859.

Absolutely fine. Especially collecting the money in!
Will you be happy with the area down nearest the stream? We have another
group booked in at pitch 5, to the South of the main track through the
wood so you wouldn't impact on each other much at all.
We are having a meat tasting day on Sunday 25th - people are coming to
taste our meat, buy bits to cook on the BBQ or buy frozen to take home, so
I guess there'll be a lot of folks around between 12 and 3.
e will make the flat area just inside the first gate a parking area if
anyone wants to leave cars there.
Also if any of your group want to buy meat to take home (or to cook on
your open fires on saturday night) you'd be very welcome - it's all
field-reared rare breeds as you know and we go largely by Morrison's
prices.
See you that weekend anyway.

By the way, the person who contacted us about having a regional gathering
sometime in September/October is Matthew Spillman -He said he'd posted on the naturalbushcraft.co.uk forum to get an idea of
who might be interested.
Don't know whether you'd like to link up - or already have!

Mmmmm, meat. That seems like an incredibly good idea. Maybe we could have a hog roast, then some dinner.

i may not have enough pork (it is a canny size joint) for a hog roast depending on how many turn up but if toilet digger brings a lamb joint and maybe some rabbits. i may get out for some pigeons, but times tight with work, it should be a canny feast lol

i would nt mind a go with the file bashing out a knife if thats ok

i've just had a flashback of the state of you when i picked you up from the last brockwell meet... i don't think it was the enemy he was trying to poison..!!!:lmao:

And that was well after he sorted himself out with brekkie and all.

Morrisons:
Leg of pork £6 per kg
Shoulder of pork £4.45 per kg
Pork Tenderloin fillet £6.99 per kg

So eh, what are we looking at there (besides tasty goodness)?

All this talk of drink and seeing that beautiful photo of Sir Digalot makes me wish it was the weekend already, sigh. But at least I have the morning off work to go to the hospital, yay!

Chris_r, your underquilt looks great. How small does it pack up, what's the weight etc?

Definitely tasty goodness.

Packs down to a 170 x 170 x 220mm and weighs just under 800 grams. I hope it's warm :)
