Died peacefully earlier today. A true legend who transcended generations and a real character

Sir Patrick was an inspiration to me and through his endless enthusiasm, sparked my own interest in Astronomy, which continues to this day.

Im not an emotional person, but when i heard the news of his passing, i had a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye.

Rest In Peace Sir Patrick.

Patrick Moore was there all my life. Wide eyed child to cynical adult. But always a pleasure and joy to watch. I shall miss his quirky eccentricity.
