... can I ask you about the bulb thing? Is that all bulbs or just some? My beloved Lumie 'go to bed slowly sunset' lamps, the old halogen bulbs are no longer supplied anywhere. I've kept the lamps tho, it would be wonderful if it was possible to convert the fittings
If they are the old E14 bulbs, you are looking for a dimmable warm led with same connector size. If you can post a picture and any writing on bulb stem I can have a look and see if anything that might be suitable.

Have only the trousers. Loose fitting, windproof. 100% cotton + the dark fabric 50/50 nyco-layer on top o the 100% cotton layer.
Nice outdoor trousers summertime, have used them only in the summer.

Resting after a long day out.

Opportunity: JDplc who own Go-Outdoors are having a reorganisation.

Their Blacks stores (some or all, I don't know) are going to be closed-down, refitted and relaunched as Go-Outdoors Express. Staff have been told their jobs are safe and that this will all happen end January 2025.
In the meantime stocks are being reduced by having a 30% discount off their normal prices on most stock. Blacks do not currently use the Go-Outdoors discount card, but will after the re-brand.
For the same reason there is a returns limit date of end January '25.

yup, also have some Edam which i've not had for years and a nice piece of Stilton
A good Edam is a superb cheese. We seem to end up with tasteless waxy stuff here, but I brought a couple of rounds back from Amsterdam a few years ago that were epic.

Google the wool room or baavat. I have a pillow from each. Woolroom has a sale on right now, so cheaper.
Baavat has pillows you can unzip and wash the cover(buy an extra one at the same time) and add extra or take out some of the stuffing to tailor the pillow to your needs. (Extra stuffing costs more again) not cheap, but a pillow for life, supports British farmers and ecco friendly.
Also, you save in the long run as your not throwing collapsed unrecycleable pillows away every year or two.
I can’t believe I ended up chucking one and a bag of extra wool when I had to move.

Today I have mostly been buying a warm coat for Mimi dog as she’s standing shivering while I’m taking pics, plus some of those eye wipe pads for dogs as she’s got stuck in the eye by a stick or something and it’s infected and gunky. She gets those dark stains too.

Return postage for one Kaweco Sport piston filler fountain pen - you wait years for them to get their act together and finally make one, and then the ruddy thing arrives with a crack in the cap. Oh well, after all that waiting what's another week?

TOO LONG, that's what!!!! :aargh:

(If this means nothing to you, replace "fountain pen" with "knife" and - Yeah? Got it? Annoying, innit?)

A Greenworks Cordless Hedge Trimmer (61cm blades) to help me with dissuading the Blackthorn that is attempting territorial gain on the main track, and elsewhere, in my woodland. I should probably be able to damage some of the wilder plants in my garden with it too.
