Paddled on the Romarstjodet/Ortervatnet in Agder fylke this week and watched sea eagles and beavers. At one point I turned into an inlet, paddling about 10 feet from the side and spooked a beaver that was sunning itself on the rocks. It shot off at a high rate of knots before performing a dive from about 5 feet into the water. About 15 minutes later I found myself paddling beside it as it swam back down the inlet. I got about 5 five minutes shadowing it before it spotted me and dived with a massive smack of its tail.

Kingfisher. You'll have to use your imaginations, he was camera shy. 
I went for something a bit slower. It's a caterpillar or should that be a kittenpillar...
Seeing a lot of kites around at the moment. This one was flying especially low.
Saw this little bird hunting on the lily pads on a river. At first I thought it was a juvenile blackcap but now I'm not so sure.

I hate seeing these little fellas up on the surface because it usually means they are distressed but this one did seem quite happy foraging along the wall edge. They will come to the surface to feed if the ground is too dry and hard for them to find worms in their tunnels.
Seeing one on the surface like that would make me want to stand guard!
I saw one a few weeks ago at our house in SW France. Five of us were sitting around the table outside eating, about 14h15. I heard a slight rustle in the grass and saw a mole that had left its hole;I watched it run over to a pile of firewood about eight metres away.
Given that moles are supposed to have bad eyesight, I imagine that he's done this run a number of times and follows a scent trail that he's left.
I just caught sight of one too, emerging from the ground. As you say, must be because the ground is so dry.
Didn't get the best photo as I was having to hold my dog back from getting at it.
It was last week but I heard a woodpecker tapping to find food and then managed to spot it.
It turned out to be a female Greater Spotted so pointed it out to a friend who'd said she'd never seen a woodpecker before. She was well over the moon when she saw it.

At the Moot:
- Hornets
- Tree Creeper
- Nut Hatch
- Woodpecker (spotted, but didn't see enough to know which one)
- Mole (freshly dead
) - Hedgehog
- numerous mice/voles - everything so dry they couldn't move without noise
- twig caterpillar - less than inch long on my tarp ridge
- Two bushels of squirrels+2 more of wood pigeons.
