Things for pinning my leg wraps, some snips and a lucet thingy

IMG_8233.JPG

A bone comb, needles (brass and antler) and a horn book. (literacy is finally in my reach...)

All got from the Re-enactors Fayre yesterday.

They had tons of really good stuff...I took a few pictures.

Not purchased but received as a gift.

A Portuguese barbecue (from Madeira)
I was also given this fuel. Not in the original bottles.

It sort of works. I’m guessing that it would work better if the food were wrapped in foil. I might try a trout.

Fun but not really recommended. It burns a lot of fuel and even though it is probably the best use of slivovice it’s a very expensive way to cook.

The Branca rum and the hand cleanser have very similar ABV but a somewhat different price tag.

Not really for sausages but for Portuguese Chourico. Not a cooker as such, more for heating chorizo type sausages, you won't burn as much 'fuel' that way.

A Trangia Gas Burner Storm...

IMG_20250320_154828.jpg

This is for my Firebox Stove Gen 2. So now, according to whim, situation and fuel availability the stove'll run on wood, meths, gel, Sterno, charcoal / briquettes, Esbit / equivalent, and now gas.

It's a good add-on for me as now I have two easily-managed burners / stoves for larger meals as it's paired with my Primus Omnifuel which I tend to run on gas or Coleman fuel.

Must be time to cook something (but not on the kitchen work top, obvs!)...

A charity shop buy. 2m×3m white linnen tablecloth for £2.50, very stained but giving it a good soak and handwash, it's now on the line stain free. A bit of sun bleaching will help too.
What's that to do with bushcraft? Well, I'm thinking of making some linnen clothes with the material. I want to do some natural dying, so that's the bushcrafting element.

Looking forward to foraging plants to dye it with. A new bushcraft/textile adventure awaits.
