What did you forage today?

I foraged some pine needle today (Scots Pine) and made a tea. I added fresh lemon juice to taste. It is really refreshing and packed with all sorts of good things. I read pine needles have six times the vitamin C contained in Lemons. x

Penny wort aka navel wort and three cornered leek. Had them with venison and a salad. I am drying some venison strips on a rack by the the burner that has a bubbling pan of suet rendering down to make tallow. Had a brilliant day but forgot to dig up worms to go fishing with tomorrow. ho hum xxx.
ps I need to change the teeth in my avatar cartoon. I've got a denture now so I no longer look like something from a prison movie. Actually that's not strictly true. x

I foraged young cleavers shoots. I have infused them in apple cider vinegar. I have read several sources about certain health benefits . One of the sources is listed below. x

I found and foraged. Fiddle heads which I will steam with butter and pepper, nettles, the same. Theres a salad of navel wort, wood sorrel, dandelion leaves, chickweed and pignut flowers. I am also boiling up some goose grass to have with sweet potato. All that with some bacon fried in tallow that I made . There is something very satisfying about finding food. dd xx

Not exactly foraged but harvested, loads and loads of my Apple mint, it's come on leaps and bounds over the past week or so and was due a thinning out, I must have harvested at least 30 stems around 12" long with some fairly biggish leaves. Now washed and currently hung up to dry, will freeze later to preserve.
