I don't think it is. I've seen one of these on a course and think it's mildly toxic but I can't remember what it is. Looks vaguely honeysuckleish but obviously not.

I just "Recycled" a pair. Used the biggest bit of leather to provide a leather grip around the bit of a friction drill bow that you hold. Just to make it a bit more comfortable.

I quite literally do it in which ever hand I happen to pick them up in first. Never noticed it makes much a of a difference tbh.
