I had one for review a long time ago - but it was a loaner from Extreme Outdoor Clothing. Great Smock for a serious price.... I would love another one - for keeps!
Extreme clothing is top gear and I am still wearing a cotton Smock (based on the 60s SAS smock) that I got for review from Kieth about 100 years ago!

I always felt sorry for the hapless guy in the tower at Oberhausen military airfield. And what were Colonel Turner's motives for working for 'the other side'?

Or the poor domestic workers, made redundant as they could no longer get the cable car up to Schloss Adler. No one thinks of the little people!

Please, please will somebody order one and tell me it's as good as it looks... I so want one...

I love mine. They are BEAUTIFULLY made - and made to fit the individual, so they are wonderfully comfortable. I've worn mine in the woods and, ironically, skiing in Austria. I suppose the only hiccough is that they are quite heavy but the fit, quality and that 'je ne sais quoi' added by their use in that magnificent film make it a pleasure to wear and use, albeit selectively.

What I'm after now is one of those grey peaked caps made of wool with the two buttons on the front... Any clues?

http://www.richardaunderwood.com/ look in the head wear section, there is/was a place in Germany that made fantastic WW2 german clothing using original bits where possilbe and original process's dye type's and cloth types but its now only made to order via a re enactment forum, anyway i digress, ive used the above shop but have no connection etc etc.

I remeber going to see that film with my dad, and then went back to see it with a mate on the Saturday afternoon. We'd spent our bus fares home (as you do) and had to walk...and it snowed!!! Whahey! Speak about reliving the film lol

Thanks for the memories, guys...a great film and an iconic line! I have it on my phone now ;)

Any idea how to contact the guy ? There is only an email option on the website which doesn't seem to get looked at. I fancied an Explorer fleece but don't think I'll be sending my money off until I've made contact with someone

EDIT - found Keith's mobile number on the web and it still works. If anyone wants it, PM me.

Thanks
