I want to contribute to this thread but I hardly ever buy anything...
from Nova and Pinkys' What did you buy today? thread.

I thought it might be interesting to see what items people give a new lease of life to ~ the old nugget 'You're into ...., aren't you. Have you got any use for ....' freebies are also welcome.

I'll start it off with two items. The first is a Millers Falls Model 2 'cigar' spokeshave and a W.Marples & Sons 12" 'Cast Steel' drawknife (both freebies  ).

I've also been fettling the handle of a Martindale 350L machete ~ the standard handle is huuuggee. Traded for a bit of repair work a whiile back.

Today I'm trading 725g of down(in a sleeping bag) for a thermarest. The sleeping bag was bought specifically to take some of the down out and has been traded to someone else with the same idea.

Jeeeez

i,ve lost count of the goodwill i recived on here,..or from my association with members of BcUK

off the top of my head, not counting the Gift it on thread,

A Svord Peasant knife in Orange
a hand made Kuksa
3 handmade spoons
a U.S issue canteen Set
a paracord lanyard
a led torch on a lanyard
a hat
a roll of fine nylon Nato thread
some brass lanyard tube
a sheet of red liner
a leather drawstring bag
a handmade antler handled spoon knife
the loan of some Karabiners in an emergency
a hand forged skinning blade
a pair of (could be made to measure) German issue flecktarn combats

thats just what i can remember, (sorry if i missed summat)

hahah i bet i look like a proper charity case,

But on the same token, Mrs Raikey is sick of working in my "Dispatch Department" ha ,...

she says i send out 3-4 parcels a week on average,...

My way of thinking is,

"if for the price of a stamp you get pull someone out of a problem, or even just make someone smile, then go for it!!"

spread the love people!!,..hahahahaha

(sorry, my parents were Hippies)
