Aye firesteels for me too, anyone use Hammaro waxed paper as a tinder? Its perfect for firesteels as the interior fluffs up to take a spark very easily (almost 100% in my experience). I bought loads from woodlore ages ago but they stopped selling it and im nearly out , anyone know a supplier or similar product?

try this it works every time or plain old cotton wool so long as its dry and you have everything else prepped for the fire as it doesn't last too long
