Today my Nana past away. The image above symbolises my memories on my Nana, when I was small I remember her always making me mint choc angle delight severed in a blue and white bowl.

That's sad, memories are wonderful things though.

i have few memorys of my childhood. But that memory has always stuck with me, that and eating chocs from a jar only to later find out the were dog chocolates lol

God bless her, Tank, my nin was 96 when she passed away, couldn't read or write but knew who the cards were off(when we handed them to her ), treasure those memories eh?

My Gran used to make me jelly in old margarine tubs! Still makes me smile thinking of it & her. Once the grief has gone, you always have those happy memories to look back on.

Ive only got fond memories of my grandparents, especially days out fishing with my grandad hes been gone 6 years now and I will always miss him but it does get easier. My thoughts are with you Tank, treasure all those wonderful memories.

Thanks for the posts and comments. We are doing ok, we knew it was on the cards.

We are thankful for time we have had with her as about 2 years ago we found out she was getting worse and was sick more and more of the time. 2 years ago she said all she wanted was to be able to see my son be born, Well she was around for that (18 months ago), when my son Noah was born we found out my younger brother had a baby on the way and my Nana was able to see Ellie her great granddaughter born (8 months ago) Nana has always loved kids, she used to foster kids and they brought her a lot of joy and you could see that the last time we saw her (knowing it would possibly be the last time)

My younger sister is very upset so I will take her camping this weekend to help her with her healing process and to give my mother time to make the necessary arrangements.

Chin up mate, my thoughts are with ya. I haven't lost my nan's yet, but I have lost my grandad. It was very hard for me to get over the loss but I still have a few things of his that I use on a day to day basis and all the knowledge and kindness he passed on to me, like his stew recipe, and how to haggle

Things take time, but the way I look at it, she isn't in pain, and she achieved the only 2goals she set herself before she passed, how many of the folks who have passed can say that.
