How many axes do you presently own?

or you dont really need an axe for UK Bushcraft really ;) a big knife is more all round useful :cool: :pokenest: :nutkick:

mine are home firewood use Big Maul for logs in the log shed cheap hatchet for Kindling in the fire bucket and a big felling axe from the father-in-laws garage thast not really got a use hanging in the workshop cleaned and sharpened

tho i do have a GB carving axe as a luxury Item

no real use for a mid size Axechet

You don't need a big knife for UK Bushcraft either, indeed there is no need to "do" Bushcraft at all - its simply a hobby and as such done for amusement. If a tool adds to enjoyment it is the right tool.

yes your right
there is pretty much no need in modern UK Houses to use any sharps at all and especially axes or wood processing you can get liquid tree pumped to your house ;)


same for Knives pretty much all food is available ready to heat n eat or peeled and chopped if you like the hobby of cooking from scratch ish even a cheese grater is not needed you buy Cheese pre grated :D

Sounds like you could do with a semi serrated axe. That way you can do everything with just one tool.
