http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials.htm has some quite good articles, I'll have a look through my bookmarks for some more, main thing is to play about with it and have fun :)
On my basha I have around 1 meter lengths on the corners and attach the pegs with paracord prussic loops so they can be easily adjusted, the apex bungies are about 2 meters and set up in the same manner.
This is my work basha and I'm yet to use it from trees but it would be simple enough to...
I've owned one of these for about a year (still on the same battery) and can only echo the above review, cracking torch and small enough to always have in a coat pocket.
Obviously not a huge beam but bright enough for most tasks and a bomb proof build for very little money.
Brecon pouch is great for scattering empty mags all over the training area when people haven't had their belts done up tight enough, spent more than a few hours digging through heather looking for them (never mine I might add)
Everything said so far has been spot on in my experience, trying to...
only ever take the spoon, fits nicely in a smock pocket and is bendy enough that I won't be staked through the heart should I be required to 'lie down rapidly', and the set cost about £2 7 odd years ago.
I also have the rvops bivy poles and have found them fine, apparently some have had the twist lock fail, this may have just been that they're not totally squaddie proof or that said squaddies tried to eat them...
I have exactly the same setup, weighs a ton but stable and strong, even survived a fall down
with only a few scratches and dings and is still going strong 2 years later, although I will be replacing it with a lighter model soon.
