We all have our nices in bushcraft, whether its foraging, basket weaving, craft work, hunting & trapping, living off the land, meets, camping, knife making or tracking.

my favorite aspect of bushcraft would have to be hunting and living off the land, whats yours?

Your two, plus tracking and observing nature. Sometimes just sitting out in the middle of nowhere just watching and listening is as good as it can get.

Green woodworking and basketry, I'll have a go at anything bushcraft related but I'd like to get to the stage with these two skills so as to be able to show someone else how to do it.

cheers,
Rob

I don't know if it is bushcraft, but I like

- being in the wilds, miles from civilisation
- having a damn good three or four day walk
- sleeping in the open in a bivvybag or a hammock,
- boiling up dirty water on a hobo stove, using wood as a fuel if at all possible, otherwise meths
- getting de-stressed
- being away from work

I don't particularly like:
- getting wet, but in this country's hilly regions this is almost inevitable
- struggling up those steep inclines with a weight on my back, although I forget the pain later on
- being away from SWMBO (Don't let her know!)

and I've just discovered, after a four day trek in Mid Wales with SteveSteve and Scott of the LLandow, that I enjoy doing all this in good company!

Spending vast fortunes on kit and getting out exploring and observing.

Fauna/Flora ID will always be near the top of the list and so will tracking, just not enough time to get it all cracked.

Canoeing and visiting new places has become a huge chunk of my bushy play time in the last twelve months, more trips on the water than by foot for me at the moment.

Not too into the ins and outs of knife making as long as I've got a blade I can rely on. Meets aren't really my thing as I'd rather be out exploring new places in smaller numbers.

Sadly my craft skills are virtually non existent but it's fun to have a go now and then.

meets, camping, are also brilliant and anything in mother nature

Being as far away form built up areas as possible, relying on me, myself and i and nothing else.
Flora and fauna ID'ing, monging in my hammock or under a shelter be it a tarp or one i've knocked up for the duration. Tracking as i've recently got into that and whittling something useful while waiting for my scran to warm up.
Being with nature and listening.

Yup, that just about sums it up for me too.
I'm still not convinced that what I do is really 'bushcraft', but that's the accepted term for a whole host of activities/mindset, so it'll do.

I enjoy all aspects of Bushcraft but my favorites are the traditional crafts and flora&fauna.Been a country boy all my life so its second nature to me.

Everything, the skills and knowledge to let me spend more time outdoors (as wild as is on offer please) enjoying nature and primitive skills.
I have a never ending list of stuff/projects I want to try, most of those ideas are YOUR fault.... Thanks :D

I'm not a bushcrafter really but I like camping, flora and fauna, cooking, socialising by the fire, walking and increasingly - using my bike to get there.

Which gives me a fair bit in common with y'all.
