I suppose it depends upon your level of knowledge. I expect for most people who forage fungi it's fairly low risk, because they have a certain level of knowledge.I was just wondering about the food value of mushrooms vs the risks if you get it wrong. The Holland and Barrett website lists all the nutrients etc etc and claims mushrooms are high in them. But their own numbers vs claimed RDA are tiny.
For taste, texture, and bulking out a meal great, very nice, but for food value collecting in the wild I don't think it's worth the risk.
These Boletes today. My Bolete ID is non existent but they look very Cep. Under Beech and mixed woodland, stain blue. Big.
