Hawthorn berries and wild carrot seeds. The seeds I will dry. Has anyone got an ideas for the berries? I normally just eat them
Chris I have to say that recipe looks amazing. Sadly I am off the sugar so I will have to pass. xI wanted to give this a try some time: https://www.wildfooduk.com/wild-food-recipes/hawthorn-ketchup/

It is common sorrel. Have a taste. Bit like apple peel. xxxxSWMBO and I have been staying with friends at their house in the forest, preserving duck in jars.
Wandering in the "garden" I found what looks like something in the dock and sorrel family (rumex).
But it is growing flat to the ground and I've not been able to identify it. Maybe it's not a rumex, at all.

Thanks, Dale.It is common sorrel. Have a taste. Bit like apple peel. xxxx
Not including wood sorrel I think the sorrels all grow tall flower stems. On your picture are the basal leaves which are rosette like and ground hugging. I have not heard of Spanish sorrel but I will look it up xThanks, Dale.
There's some abandoned farmland near home (it's now used as overspill for when the river risks flooding) that is covered every year with what I think is Spanish sorrel that grows quite tall; I've foraged that a few times.
