Trying to identify this one. I've got an idea of what it is, and I think it's an edible, but not 100%. Any input appreciated.
Found between the road and a field, next to a hedge of beech, field maple and oak.
No immediate colour change on bruising or cutting open. A slight hint of blue after 10mins or so, but reverting back to yellow flesh.
Pleasant enough smell, fairly mushroomy.
Height: approx 7cm

Are you thinking Red Cracking Bolete?
Not noticeably, but maybe very faintly with a fairly long delay, then reverting back to yellow. Similar story with the flesh.
Fair enough. Think oak bolete would usually get bluey-green staining on the pores. But those do look like the spongey pores I’d expect.
I definitely don’t know with enough certainty to be any help, sorry!

I don't think it can be mistaken for anything too dodgy, so I might try it and see how it is.
Anyone know the worn brown one? Just for interest, I see a lot on the chalk Downs but not to sure what they are, apart from past their best.
The white thing I thought was a puffball but it’s got a weird stem and I’d be interested to know this one too. Found in Petworth Park, soil is light brown sandy/chalk mix and the pasture is tussocks and long tufts grass and marsh grass.

I'll have a look in my books a bit later. I am more familiar with woodland mushrooms, but the last one I'd be cautious of without seeing the base of it and the gills/a cross section.
Think I found the factory where they make them! See if you can count all the mushrooms in this image… (Spoiler: there are probably over 50 visible ones)

Pestle puffball I think. At the very least, a puffball so edible.

2 names. common bonnet or i know it as lilac bonnet, yes, i think so too.
I love to look 'up' through these from below - so translucent.

Amethyst deceivers aplenty today! Will be lovely with roast lamb tonight.
Lots of Amanita Muscaria still about. Not for consumption with roast lamb (or anything unless you want to be very ill and start smelling colours).

I need to vary the walk a bit, I’m liking the park because it rutting season and the deer are everywhere. Still a lot of these about, the Shaggy Parasols, and @Chris talking of smelling colours, I found a couple of these little Liberty Caps.
