If she’s anything like mine she’ll spit the mushroom and expect something nicer. And has a knack of getting it :rolleyes2:View attachment 90391
That's such a wonderful photo.

Today I saw some tiny (3cm tall) mushrooms which were pale lavender, a couple of tiny ones inside a hole in an oak which seemed to be glowing in the dark, and probably a beefstake mushroom on the same tree, about 20cm in diameter.

No idea what the other ones were, but they were cool to see.

And a fairy ring of mushrooms all around the same oak tree.

20240921_154810.jpgobviously some kind of boletus, the yellow instantly bruises a bluey green. Can anyone identify for me please, and is it edible? I fear its not.
Found in short grass, under Oak hazel and beech.

Loads of Fly Agaric about today. Also picked up some more Bay Bolete and a few sizeable Brown Birch Boletes for drying and powdering.

Thought for a moment I found a huge patch of chanterelles, but chopping one in half revealed them to be False Chanterelles. Sad.

Good few other mushrooms too.

Good haul. Do you ever find Orange Birch Boletes up there?

These are a first find for me. I am pretty certain they are fairy ring champignon. Any confirmation or correction welcome? x
