Southern Bracket rather than Beefsteak?
Never seen this before - seemingly growing out of a leylandii hedge. Not sure what they were attached to, whether the branches/twigs or something else inside.
Yes indeed, it looked rather fake in person! A very large bush, more like a hedgerow of leylandii a good 10 metres long, with these popping up out of it.
I’m starting to worry that it’s an infestation of Waaagh! Fungus. 
I've already put one in for that one!There's never a fungi photo comp when one has an awesome photo
Any thoughts on this amanita?
It was already detached when I found it.
Didn't smell it.
Quite yellow.
Pine, birch, oak woodland/heathland.
Thought it could potentially be Amanita gemmata.

Bit late in the season, but looks like it could be a Jewelled Amanita?

I’ve not seen one in the wild before, I have only come across it a few times in books and online when trying to identify some Russulas.
It’s quite rare, so a nice find!
A bit pedantic, but that's a Thuja hedge. Thuja plicata, or Western Red Cedar, smells a bit like pineapples when crushed.
The mushrooms are crazy, must be growing from the clippings left behind after trimming. I've been seeing some rare ones this year, including a funnel type one growing on worm casts.
These ones I need to identify, the pillar type ones:
glistening ink caps. this it not my photo. I could not upload mine. Nonetheless a late edible mushroom. I have never tried it. All those ink caps tend to turn to mush x
I like Turkey Tails, they never look much at first glance but when you get in close they have lovely patterns.
