I know, I prefered the nice green pegs, now I have bright red ones. If I loose those, I think i'll need to be put down!!!!They'll turn up now you have replaced them. It's the way.
I will post pictures of my netted bags I've been making! It's a very fun craft and I'm most of the way through a hammock now. Also from jute twine.A gigantic ball of jute twine.
Why? I see a bit of rope making, (natural ridge line for my plastic free kit) tinder, and I'll have a go at a netted bag. No idea how to do that just yet, but I'll learn.
I was considering one of those for my UCO mini but is it brighter, and how long does it last for on one filling?A lamp oil insert on the from Hong Kong for the Mini UCO.

Picked up a nice Victorinox Officers folding penknife today at a stall, £11 and some change. Nice useful features and a legal carry.
Gives off a low light, depending on your wick height, haven't given it a full outdoor test yet sorryI was considering one of those for my UCO mini but is it brighter, and how long does it last for on one filling?
Wouldn't know how to date it, but no toothpick or tweezers, rest of features as you describe. Also does not have a keyring/lanyard eye which surprised me. It has HUrlimann Bier and a logo on the other side, so maybe its cheaper promotional one?Guessing not an 1897 officer's, or the 2022 reproduction (which new are around $500)... but the modern Spartan with big & small blade, can & tin opener, corkscrew & awl back tools, and toothpick & tweezers?

Looking at the blade enscription under a magnifier, it says "Officier Suisse" so maybe that means its officially Swiss, not that it is the Officer model? I don't know much about this make/history, or any others really.

Ah, it's a Standard model, probably from the early 80s. Hurlimann is a Swiss Brewery, must have ordered a bunch as merchandise or gifts at one point.
