Today looks like being another lovely day :) Spring Equinox just bye and it's such a pleasure to have light at both ends of the day again.

I spent yesterday sorting out a stone circle of pavers, and when I lifted some of the older ones, I found the roots of Pignuts :) So, I'm going to pot them up someplace where they can get water and grow and seed to their heart's content :)....but I'll mind where I put them, and sometime I'll go with a digging stick and forage a feast

I'm also going to cut back the last of the reedmace in my pond, and to pull the rushes from the clumps alongside.
The reeds are too dry and brittle having overWintered to be any use, but the rushes are fresh grown lengths and they haven't flowered yet, so I'll pull them and dry them, and later I'll make rope and I have an idea for a kind of seagrass basket from them. We'll see.

What are you up to today ?

Im off to the library to get some of my Pictish art scanned, to send to the Crannog Centre for Easter. The theme is birds so I did a A3 bird poster to colour in.

Sounds like a lovely way to enjoy some spring sunshine, Mary!

I got to the shop early for a few bits and pieces, popping to the post office in a couple of hours to post Tengu some leather offcuts (sorry Tengu, work has made me tardy this week), a few Atomic Shrimp videos to watch with a cup of tea and then perhaps spend a bit of time doing some leatherwork if I don’t get too distracted.

Steak for tea to top it all off.

Having discovered that I own two leaking tents I shall take down the second and bring it in for drying.

I shall then sit with a cocoa and decide what I can avoid doing next. This is not an easy decision as the list of things that I could do has various priorities and is a long one. :)

FInishing work for the covers that we onto my polytunnel frames yesterday.

This week, had a day for them to dry out, a day to do the hotspot tape and a day yesterday when my other half helped me put the covers on. Have the doors to finish off now then I can decant all the stuff crammed into the greenhouse for overwintering into the tunnels.

Then assemble my raised beds kits and plant stuff.

Also dug out my propagators the other day and cleaned them, so and getting ready to put seeds in this weekend.

Got up at 6:30 to inspect and protect the moth trap from the robins. Then sat out in the sun with an early cup of coffee listening to the cacophony of bird song.

I'm going to get some planting done in and around the new ponds I put in last year then I'm taking my granddaughter down to the camp in the wood this afternoon.

I have the same problem as @Pattree though; on rainy days I spend time thinking of all the jobs that I need to do outside, then on sunny days there are so many things to be doing I spend too much time trying to decide what to get on with.

Oh well, time for another coffee listening to the bird song :)
