A lamb, stuffed in a pig, stuffed in a cow! A carnivore's version of a turducken.

Edited for spelling in title.

How much stuffing would youu need for that?

I made turducken one year...Very challenging.

Most supermarkets do a version of it these days

Seriously, how can something like that cook properly without leaving raw meat inside a totally charred carcass ?

I suppose you could put hot stones in the inside :dunno: or a heating element ?

cheers,
Toddy.....who has seen too many spit roasted beasts just being given a suntan

Aye, but those are minced first....I keep meaning to buy one to bring along to a meet up (no pun intended :D ) and see if the bushcrafters can do a decent job of it :) the raw meat tube is relatively cheap to buy.....and kind of homogenous throughout, and it's only the cooked outer layer that's carved down. All that fence wire would do a number on any carving blade.

Good fun, but I hope they took it apart again before cooking or I imagine it would turn out awful

I doubt they'll take it apart. Part of the point of a turducken is for the juices and flavor to mingle to some extent. Granted this thing is much, much bigger than a turducken, but it appears they're trying to emulate that.

You've got me Mary. I haven't the foggiest idea. Like you, I'm imagining on a spit like a full steer (which essentially this is except for the addition of the pig and lamb)

Nice use of forced perspective

I'm curious about that myself. The depth does indicate it's a forced perspective; yet if that were the case, it should appear larger than real whereas to me this appears smaller than a whole steer with a pig sticking out the front end.
