I'm thoroughly enjoying this thread Gary... great pictures and the write up is excellent as well. goodjob

In a way I'm glad you're spreading the sections out as it gives me a chance to re-read the ones posted already and just appreciate them all the more :)

Yes, it covered that too. We learnt about excessive bleeding in the cold, first signs of frostnip, frostbite and the symptoms of Hypothermia in one of the briefings. I cant rememember which one though-I think we were all pretty clued about that before the trip anyway.

I like the group snow shelter built with the wooden roof.
Its just like a den I built in a ditch as a kid. So quick and simple.

A fantastic write up there Gary. Top stuff. :You_Rock_

Its great to have such a good photographic record of the trip.

Brilliant :)

If this doesn't urge more to sign up for future courses, nothing will.

Awesome stuff. I have been waiting for this since you first started posting pics of your arctic gear. That photo of the camp under the aurora on the last night is simply stunning. Thanks for taking the trouble to write this up.

This has got to be one of the best thread I've read in a long time :)

Thank you for all the hard work you obviously did in editing it all together and sharing with us such a fantastic adventure :)
