Has anyone tried these? Any feedback/results from them?

I bought one just before Christmas and it's certainly a challenge - I got the 'middle' sharpness one and it's certainly pointy.

Don't really believe the 'woo' surrounding it, but I bought it as a way to build physical resilience and help me psychologically. Similar to my daily cold water wake-ups which I've now been doing for approximately 9 months.

Nope.

I have however stubbed my toe alot that it seems like an exercise in resilience.

I have looked at those mats - a little tempted.

I bought a massage chair.
It's a good thing, it even heats up and sooths my sore back.

I think I'm getting too old to want to try thon fakir's bed thing.

Second session trying to use it. First go I made it about 30 seconds, left it a minute and then did 1 minute. Left it a few more minutes and then went for 20 minutes. Pushing through the initial few minutes of discomfort and it feels quite relaxing in a weird way.

I think I might have lost my waterproof qualities though.

And thats how you get the best crackling. :)

How does your skin feel or what is the sensation after ? when you get off.

It feels warm once you’re past the pain/discomfort, and a sensation like a satisfying itch being scratched. It forced me to relax the muscles in my back, which was nice.

Peeling off it felt uncomfortable for about 3 seconds and then felt just a bit… weird, but not in a bad way.

I think there was something of an endorphin rush.

20 minutes later I can still feel warm tingling on my back and I feel quite relaxed, but also psychologically pleased with myself for powering through the discomfort and finding the calm that felt like I could’ve stayed there for hours if I wanted.

Wow, you’ve nearly convinced me to try one!

Did about half an hour tonight, could’ve gone longer but wanting to head to bed.

Hardest part is peeling off of it, I reckon. It’s uncomfortable but worth it.

If I was in any doubt about my state of relaxation, my heart rate suggests I was not in the least bit stressed.

I received a level one mat and pillow this evening as a gift (was googling for info afterwards and came across this post). I immediately lay for half an hour in a state of complete almost sleeping bliss. To the touch it feels harmful, but after initial discomfort it is extraordinarily relaxing. I imagine the middle level spikes are more challenging!
