Yup, that's a lovely knife.

I'll be heading up there on Friday morning and clearing off again on Saturday mid afternoon (Like ships in the dark, eh Matt?).

So who else is sleeping in the woods on Haloween/Soween/Sowin/etc?

As for the working party idea - sounds good to me!

Note to self - must go for a walk around the site this time!

I agree its a really nice tool. I will be haveing a few tickets :D

Just to put the fear into everyone the woods is believed to be haunted by a lady. I dont have anymore of the story. I told them to shut up when my peers at work started to tell me after I told them where I was going........and its all hallows eve.......ooooohhhhhh spooky

Looking good I am going to be there before lunch on friday and will set up as near to camp fire circle as I can get.

Depends on what time I get out of work on friday morning will dictate what time I arrive but I will be trying to get close to the fire this time . I am fed up with the mud down where we normally pitch its too deep and cold.
So I will race you for the flat bits John.........OOOHHHHH idea pack the care thursday night and go straight from work .............set up the baker tent and go to sleep in the woods.......How much sleep do you rekon I would get?????? not much.....maybe I had better go home ;)

Just been on line to Bernie. He has offered to supply the bread rolls / cobs, stuffing, etc for the hog roast, so if there are no objections we will add this to the £100 for the pig and divide equally between everyone taking part.

As a bonus, he will store them in his caravan so they stay clean and unsquashed!

I have just taken delivery of Bernie's knife - it's a beauty!:D

Whoever gets this is going to be really pleased with it. :approve::red:

Remember, all proceeds from the raffle go to BcUK, so come with plenty of cash! (Please remember that tickets will not be sold to anyone under 18)

You think there'll be space or a little 'un? I'd like to make this my first night out (well, in anger) can I pay on the day?

And, though I understand there'll be little in the way of facilities, how do things run? do you take your own food along and just practice bushcraft while you're there or is it literally living on what you can find? Not that it would be too big a problem, but obviously I'd need to know.

Hope to see you there.

More than enough room!

The site is a Scout Assc. site and has basic toilets and I think a shower.

Bring your own food and some means of cooking it, although you are welcome to join the "pig fund"! (Hog roast for Saturday evening meal! MMMM)

As with most Meets, people tend to bring a lot of equipment. It is seen as a social time by many, with the advantage that you can see other peoples set ups and test new kit in "safety".

Bring some "falling down water" for around the camp fire and be prepared to share as we are a thirsty lot! :beerchug: :1244: :beerchug: :1244::beerchug: :1244:

As for cash, pay me on Saturday for camp fees and the pig fund if you want to join in.
