Had away man!
RB makes a great monogram!
Simply reverse the R (not something I have figured out how to do on a keyboard...) and using the upright of the R as the upright of the B as well you get an almost mirror image logo!
Try various fonts and I am sure you will find an image to please you.
I will not charge you my normal design fee for this advice....:D

It's looking good so far. I have the leather cut, and the pages printed. Just have to do the tooling now. I meant to ask you before, I know I said I'd do an all leather fastening, but I can also do a proper popper stud if you prefer. Let me know Greg.

Eric

Getting giddy now....:red:

Not sure on the popper thingy as i want the diary to last forever and I think that some form of leather closure or toggle might be better in about 20 years or so as the popper would eventually work loose???? Dont know i will leave it up to you as what will work best and last the longest.
cheers Greg

Don't forget that reversing runic symbols signifies the reverse of what the letter represents. So if the letter represents wealth and success, reversing it will represent poverty and failure. If you are going to reverse a letter, make it one of the English alphabet.

Ohhh, now I like that! :Wow:
that's really clever Eric, I can see it on all sorts of things
you could even brand horses and ponies bums with that, no bother!

Sincere thanks for sorting that out for me, I really have faffed on for years looking for "something" like this and always failed. It even has a look of "cup & ring" about it, which is one of my "things"
I'm inspired yet again!
Hope to be seeing you soon by the way
Cheers
Steve

Nice job on my runes Eric, I used paint as it is the only program I have for that sort of thing. That program you are using creates awesome looking stuff.

He he he, I'm addicted to bindrunes but if you have any ounce of superstition in you, make sure you know what they mean before combining them together...

Anyway to help you out....

Eric = EJM = Travel/Year/Male = Good
Fred = FG = Cattle/Gift = Very Good
Spamel = SPAM = Sun/Fate/Odin/Male = Good
Rancid = RB = Wheel/Birth = Good
Fire = FB = Cattle/Birth = V. Good
Eds = EJS = Yew(death)/Day/Sun = Ok...sorta.
Pignut = DC = Day/Fire = Ok
Ganstey = GPA = Gift/Fate/Odin = Good

No terrible ones anyway ;):p:D

HS = Hail/Sun = Not great

Hail is destructive and can damage fields of crops in seconds and therefore inadvertently kill, Sun is the bringer of life and fertility so is good. Basically they cancel each other out but are at war and can cause upset and strife... sorry:(

Just thinking... if the runes aren't in a bind then it will just look like HS and if you didn't put any focused energy into them when carving it won't be too bad. :)
