Any gamers on here?

I'm just playing Enlisted atm. Got right into it. Its hard as hell, as frustrating as they come, but really enjoying it now i've got the muscle memory for first person shooters sorted.

Think I got well out the atmosphere and back with that one but never made an orbit. It is annoying as hell!
I’ve managed an orbit. The first time I ran out of fuel to get back in but the periopas (?) was under 70km so I eventually landed after many orbits.

I think it could do with a slight little bit more guidance early on - I’ve only just found career contracts last night but had to google it! Suddenly I have some aims rather than just messing around.

IIRC they were a good way to get more cash and resources etc. You are more patient than I am ;)

Kerbal Space Program is on sale on Steam.

II can see this being a very long term frustrating game!!!

I've not heard of this ( but equally not poked my head into games intentionally for a while. )

I thought Star Citizen was supposed to be the next big thing?

SC was supposed to be the next big thing but tbh it's borderline a scam... The amount of money it's sooked up and what it's actually delivered is almost criminal. I have a friend that loved the concept and invested upwards of 200 quid in it in ship packs etc etc. He's never played it.

KSP is not a serious space game more of a physics/engineering exercise. quite educational as well as screen smashingly frustrating ;) (not that bad!)

Used play a little bit of Warcraft but mostly I play World of Warships. Used to play WOT blitz semi competitively but now, in my 50s, I have the reaction times of a dead hedgehog. Have an Xbox I never use so mainly a PC gamer. I have RDR2 but haven't played it yet.
I just got a new Graphics card and SSD, and bought RDR2 in the steam sale recently. Ultimate edition, should have been £100, got it for £20.

Have you played it yet? All i can say is WOW. What a game!! I'm blown away. I can play it on ultra settings and seriously, i've never seen anything like it, even though its nearly 7 years old. Amazing.

I have an arm/shoulder problem atm, so had time on the PC. If you haven't played it yet, book time off work (you'll need it lol) and give it a go. I think i can honestly say its the best game i've ever seen.

I use my Xbox every day. It’s how we stream all our media. Similarly to Chris I go though phases of playing games, I do find I get bored of most them fairly easily now. However….

I thoroughly enjoyed red dead redemption and I think that’s probably the game of the century and will take some beating. I’ve been messing about on snow runner again during the festive break, but it can be a little bit too slow. I often try a new game around this time and was thinking about the Indiana jones game but I just can’t justify the price at the moment.

Probably the most bushcraft related game I’ve played and I’d thoroughly recommend is the long dark. The next chapter is still in production but it’s a really well thought out survival story set in the Canadian wilderness.
I've been playing Red Dead while my arm is buggered and yep, its awesome. Not played it before, i might be in love lol.

Last PC game I played was civ 2. Someone played about civ6. I spent way too much time on civ 2 and that's put me off those games.

Son's switch when he was younger we used to play a fair bit together. Then he got fortnite and turned into this speed freak. I can't even see what he's shooting at and killing. Plus if I jumped off what he jumped off I'd die. Somehow he can jump from great height without gliding then simply land running.

He's good at it, so good all his mates stopped playing with him and found games he didn't have! New chapters come out and he's on double figures crown wins by the end of the night! I mean when you see a load of stuff flying up in the distance but you can't see the guy he took out I really can't understand that. It is dizzying the speed he plays at.

You lose that twitch reflex as you get older and your ability to handle cognitive load goes down too. My son plays DOTA and the cognitive load, the stuff you need to monitor and react to is just immense. I used to be pretty good at Cod/MW etc back in the day but now good tactics often gets beaten by faster reflexes.
