Made myself a Firebox this week.

It's made from scrap panels I've salvaged at work and a stainless drainer cover as the grate.

I had to cut and fit the panels together size is just over a foot long by 6" wide and 10"tall. Only problem was the panels were Zintec coated/galzo so I've had to burn that off :(

But it works well, just need to make an ash pan for it instead of my Misses' baking tray:lmao:

Here's few few pic's

mutch better than my atempted yukon copy that took weeks and would have been cheaper to buy a proper one

Get some heat resistant paint, but i don't bother, as you're setting fire to them anyway.

Rob

I just happen to have a few cans of it in the garage:rolleyes:.

I use it to paint my Steam engine boilers and it withstands the heat very well. In fact I've even cleaned it off round a boiler bush and brazed a new one in without damaging the paint work round it. It's good stuff;)
