i'm still getting over how many we have so far i never thought it would get this many:)

kerching at DD hammocks! That'll be you on their chrissie card list ;) Thanks again for organizing this sandbag.

Just a Q from me, I'm interested in why some are buying the camping hammocks rather than the travel hammock? It's in no way a criticism, I was just interested in the reasons.

Cheers,

Alan

Perhaps, unlike us in Scotland, they've never experienced the sky-blackening plagues of midgies - it's truely biblical up here sometimes ;)

Or maybe they just like the extra protein boost from eating spiders in their sleep :lmao:

...... I live in Scotland ..... lots of midgies. Plus I intend to use it overseas in mozzie areas.

Pablo also found that the net cut down a bit on draughts at this time of year making for a marginally warmer nights sleep.

I've also noticed that I get fewer draughts when I use it with the net up, I thought it might be because the net holds the sides of the hammock a bit higher so you get more shelter.

I already have a DD Camping Hammock. And Im putting down for a new travel hammock under the excuse that the Mrs can use it when we camp, she needs one ;) But it sounds like it might be a nice little something for me in the Winter times.

I already have a camping hammock, the travel hammock wasn't available when I bought it.

Both will get used, but the travel hammock was quite well explained by Andy_e, not neccesarily for use in Scotland but abroad where you are more likely to get eaten by things that bite in the night, day, morning, evening and aren't overly picky about who or where they bite.
