Am watching the movie Prey, part of the Predator franchise. Whatever else you may or may not enjoy about it, it shows some bushcraft skills, particularly of a native American variety. Anyway, I enjoyed it.
Question is, are there other films - not documentaries - that highlight or use bushcraft skills. Ideally a movie that could be shown to scouts.
Recommendations welcome, thanks.

Revenant? Based on a true story, American frontier.. Hugh Glass. Ray Mears did an episode on it as part of his American wilderness series, or at least spoke about it.

Dersu Uzala (Russian: Дерсу Узала; alternate U.S. titles: With Dersu the Hunter and Dersu the Trapper) is a 1923 memoir by the Russian explorer Vladimir Arsenyev, concerning his travels in the Russian Far East with the Goldihunter Dersu Uzala.

The story was made into a 1975 film Dersu Uzala,a Japanese Russian Co production directed by Akira Kurosawa. And it’s GREAT. One of my all time favourites

I'll be checking that out.
It’s a great great piece of story telling, adventure, beautifully told and shot. I’d love to see it on a big screen. From memory i think it was shot on 70mm, so it’d be epic at the cinema I’am sure. It’s been a favourite of mine for many years. And really you just can’t go wrong with Kurosawa at the helm, probably my favourite director.

I did watch 'Tracker' the other day with Ray Winstone mumbling his way through pretending to be a Boer.

I couldn't discern any actual tracking sign being shown or seen however.

Alone in the Wilderness. Dick Proenneke's documentaries. Though might be hard to track down, it was on YouTube at one point.

Into The Wild. Great film. Epic soundtrack.
I remember during 2020, they lifted the bus out with a chinook, as it was attracting too many people. And oddly announced they returned McCandless's belongings to his family.

Loads of people were making a pilgrimage to that bus. It got out of hand. But now it’s preserved somewhere. Can’t remember where though.

Am aware of the story but not watched the film.

First blood was good, the book also, but I doubt its biggest contribution to bushcraft was the Rambo knife?

It got me hooked. I remember seeing the spear trap and thinking " How did that work?? " - the whole run away to the mountains , procure and survive definitely was a seed moment.
