Birch Burl (what to do with it)

Found this little beauty yesterday, I can just about get my arms around it, once I've cut it from the tree what is the best way to season it.

Use it as Oblio said if it is for a Kuksa

As far as I know and thats not much for knife handles etc:
Cover the sawn edge with wax to stop it drying out to fast and keep it a cool dry airy place like the rafters of a shed for a year or so and hopefully it season nicely
