Sorry folks. Show-off time again.
I just finished this and I'm pretty chuffed with how it turned out.
Has anyone else taken on any big jobs with leather?

16x12x5", made from 2mm camel leather, ALL handstitched. (About 1800 stitches in total). It has a padded laptop section at the back;a key clip and accessory pockets in the front section.

The central divider is hand-tooled with a design based on my maker's mark.

The bag can be carried as a rucksack with the strap fed through the rear d-ring. The shoulder pad splits to provide two rucksack pads.

Excuse me while I put my fingers back in their ice-bath...

I think you can be forgiven for showing off although that's not how I describe your obvious and well deserved pride in the finished piece. It's beautiful, congratulations!

Thats a lovely bit of work.

Cant imagine how many hours work were sucked up into that. 1800 stitches! you must have finger tips like stone...

That is amazing, like the birch bark canoe of leather bags. (I hope you understand what I'm trying to say)

Thanks everyone.

Red/ SimonM, Ozhaggishead. this one's a keeper. As for how much, I have no idea - a lot!

Blacksheep, it was freehand based on eyeballing other cases I like + some of my own design features.
