I've got a full time job, But unfortunatly, the weather has been to wet for me to out into the country sit under a tree and carve myself something, so im biding my time untill the sun comes out to play, and all i have to say, is "im going out for a walk.. bye"

Its due to the jet stream that usually is north of Scotland this time of year. It stops all teh crappy weather getting down to us, but that jetstream has moved south a few hundred miles this year , resting just south of England, so all the rain that we are usually protected from, is stopping...

wouldent say beating, just for light woodcraft (splitting wood and such), would you recomend 1 edge or have a 3 edged tool (2 up the sides)

This will be my first project, Im presuming i need the tang to go right the way through the handle, so it has strength when struck? Im still a long way off starting yet, as i like to plan things first. Thankyou for your posts guys, they were very interesting..
