if you can visit archeryworld ,web site listed previous , they are just outside preston literally just off M65 . They have a range where you can try bows and are very helpful . You will be able to see the difference between a cheap bow and more expensive ones , not to say a cheaper bow may suit...

Brockholes nature reserve is right on jnc 31 M6 , plenty of woodland to the north of the site too . West Pennine moors not too far away plenty of woods and space around Anglesark Reservoir .

Wonderful short eared owl hunting near the Bridestones above Todmorden - not seen one for a while . fairly close up stunning birds .

If you,re travelling on the M6 this summer , Brockholes Nature Reserve has just opened quite literally on Jnc 31 ( Preston ) , much nicer than a service station and you only have to pay parking ( £1/hr ) cafe/shop, toilets , load of land , buildings float on the water , disused gravel pits ...

You can walk in from the Rossins side - less chance of meeting any RANGERS - as well as off the grane road. Hope you enjoy the area . Pete

Round the back of calf hey reservoir off the grane rd some very nice wooded cloughs ; very little visited most people just plod around the reservoir , some nice waterfalls too . Pete

Bought one recently and haven't had any probs in our wonderful wet and cool late spring . Doesn't seem quite as thick as son's swanni but swanni shirt i bought a couple of years ago seems very poor quality ( still expensive ) was told swanni production moved to china . I'm happy with my Bushmate...

i think all the seasons have their merits / joys - nice to watch the wheel of the year spin .
