This is their somewhat disingenuous “explanation“:Jesus! Hopefully just a mistake, although the labels aren't exactly small. Maybe they are pre folded in their plastic bags and the wrong one posted by mistake?
There's nothing worse than the excitement of a new piece of kit only for it to not arrive or the wrong item arrive.
I have a copy of that, too. I agree, it's great, the recipes for different spice mixtures are something I've rarely seen in cookbooks.![]()
This cook book arrived today, I have a great many Indian cook books, but got to say, this is the most comprehensive. I lived in India for 5 years, this has pretty much all the different dishes I enjoyed, from a great many regions. Not cheap, but if you want to get serious about Indian cuisine, this has it all.
Ebay. Not read any of them before, but I've been wanting to get hold of them for a while (with the Josh Kirby covers). Three nights camping this weekend, so I'll get stuck in.Jealous!!!! Charity shop haul? That will take some time to read.
It would for me at least , I'd wear my lips out whilst reading.

I'll follow your suggestion. I've never felt quite comfortable just diving into the middle of book series, even if they can be read as stand alone stories. I'm sure there are things you'd miss. It's always interesting see how the author develops too.Ahhhhh - quite the treat.
Without telling you how to eat your food I'd suggest reading them in order of being published. Not that I feel the first few books are his best works but some character introduction and development does occur along the journey.

Back when I lived there, I bought a paperback cookbook aimed at the “new Indian housewife”. It was a very low budget book, but had all the dishes that are commonly eaten in a “typical” Delhi family, and sold in local restaurants, non veg and veg. I bought it for a friend, but have always regretted not getting a copy for myself, especially as I knew that although they liked cooking, it was likely they wouldn’t use it as they weren’t very organised at getting spices as they lived in a small N. Wales village (pre internet shopping days). Finally, I now have an even better and far, far more comprehensive book.I have a copy of that, too. Yeah, if I can get a copy of 'Wyrd Sisters' then I'll have a straight run of nine books. I'll have to fill in the rest of the gaps as I get to them.Has the original collector avoided Witches (other than Equal Rites)?
If so there is another treat waiting for you.
