Does anyone produce sensible priced Zoot Suit type smocks anymore? There must be some made little tailor out there that can knock one up at reasonable money as compared to some of the more exclusive branded items out there.

Samarkand Para Silk Windproof is what you’re after. Think they’re £120-£150 depending on configuration. I think you have to email Avalanche Endurance Events to inquire about them as I don’t think you can just buy them from an online store.

They’re not made of parachutes, but I rate the Arktis Stowaway shirt as a cheaper alternative. It does the same thing, just not as ally.

I bought a top from a used 'chute on eBay a few years ago, honestly it looks a bit rough and hand made but folds down to nothing and it's great!

Ps.
Had a look back through my purchases and its too long ago to find the seller

The Reptila nylon stuff comes up on eBay for about £30 for trousers. If you don’t mind MTP camo.

There are issue US Pertex zoot suits around too,a bit nicer than the Arktis one. Hit and miss when they show up but various non camo colours, may have been made with opfor chaps in mind. I think Adventuretec/Tennier/Orc made them.
