I'm not, some of us more loyal BCUK'ers have elected to be left behind to man(and woman) the threads in a sort of rear-guard action whilst the pleasure and thrill seeking lightweights go and "do social interaction and learn new practical skills"... Poppycock, it'll be base fraternisation and the imbibing of liquors of great strength. I bet they won't be sleeping and rising with the sun, it'll be wild paganistic rituals around a living orange blaze, with meats from the four corners of the empire dripping from their pith helmets.

No I'll be here and am jealous as heck.

Next year when the boy is older we will be there. At the minute you turn your back for 2 minutes and he has got his head in the oven wondering where is cake is!
Cant imagine him around fires and things he shouldn't touch but he is learning fast.

I won't be going because I just can't bear the thought of being away from Molly, my Springer; I could do it at a push, without much enjoyment, but it would cause her a lot of distress. I've made a bit of a rod for my own back without being aware of it, as she's five now and we're just never apart for more than twenty minutes at a time for shop, dentist bank etc.

I value the close bond that we have above all things and wouldn't want it any other way, but , as in all things, there's sometimes a high price to be paid - I'd love to put a few faces to names of people I've met on the forum, who knows what the future may bring, eh?.......................atb mac

Me :sigh: I'm hoping next year though :)

Tbh, I think if we could find a site where well socialised and family friendly dogs could be part of things, I don't think most of us would mind.

Tell you though, there are some very poorly trained dogs (and children around dogs) these days. Y'know ? there's a workshop in itself :)
