I've got a ridiculous Rambo/Survival/Military thing in the workshop you can have for the cost of postage - it's big, unbalanced and designed to look reeeel cool and trap the innoccent into a purchase they'll look back on in embarrassment in years to come. One of those, the KH108 bolo machete, is actually a very, very, very good knife. Two more (the MLP53 Khukuri, and the MLP61 Khukuri) look like maybe (but I don't like the stainless aspect of those two)

You're definitely right to ask people to clear out their cupboards. It'd be a waste of money to buy stuff like this. Maybe a daft idea, but do the police confiscate stuff like this from prats and throw them away? Someone ask a copper. Everyone keep your eyes open in second hand shops and car boot sales.

Also, bear in mind that if you buy this stuff new you're stimulating supply and someone will make more.
