Oh, and descaler.

Bizarrely abandoned kettles in a wood. Quite near a shooters hut, so maybe left out to go to be recycled, I’m not sure but one was damaged, the other looked used but ok.

Took the decent one with me and descaled and cleaned it up. Solid as anything, it’s a Stellar 138 and retails around £55.

Made my decision to relegate the Eagle Industries to hanging over the campfire duties and use this whistler in the van. Lost count of the amount of times I’ve boiled the Eagle dry.

It's the L'EQUIP filter pro.
Pricy, but has so much more with it than the very basic round £30 one I've had for years. It's realy going to up my game.
I've had my eye on it for a very long time, and saved for it.
Also had the kitchen garden magazine promo code, KGFP20, which gave me 20% off, and brought it down to£143.20.

Not plugged it in yet, as I've been busy in the garden and I'm too tired, so will start playing with it tomorrow. I have apples and frozen veg ready to go. I'll just defrost the veg overnight. I like to dehydrate frozen veg, as they are cheap, and already cooked, so rehydrate easily, and I can get almost two bags in one kilner jar, so no worries if the freezer breaks down.(and takes up less space if kept in a dark cupboard for up to a year.) I also bung in an oxygen absorber into the jar for keeping optimum condition.
Many thanks for the info, Woody girl...

Is there a difference between the 25 Cream of Tomato and the 200 Tomato?

Ended up buying 8 packets of Maggi onion soup (makes excellent dip) while browsing, so thought I’d ask before I pursued things any further. :rolleyes2:

AHH, Kiwi dip... "a packet of powdered onion soup stirred into a can of reduced cream, with sometimes lemon juice or malt vinegar added"
It's not a barbeque in New Zealand without this delicacy!

That’s the one. Hard to get but I found a company that sells it called Sanza. Beats French onion soup powder hands down!

Dutch Army Norgie in grey. I had a pure cotton British one a few years ago, the Dutch one is a cotton/synthetic blend and is much better.

I wore it today for some tree work. Very comfortable. Highly recommended.
