Yes, they seem pretty decent. They're very similar to the more popular Easton's, but the Big Sky's have the pull cord loop going through the tube body as opposed to through just the head on the Eastons, which have been know to detach when pulling the stakes out of the ground. Amazingly, these 9" tube stakes weigh only 14g, the same weight as my 6" Y pegs.
I bought them for extra peace of mind in strong winds. I camped on top of Corn Du last week and the weather station in Bleronge, 17 miles East and at an altitude of 323m lower than my position, recorded wind speeds of 60mph and gusts of 73mph. I had double pegged and they hadn't moved but these will provide even more strength.
