I have just found this MUST HAVE bit of survival kit. What do you think, I for one always carry a battery with me.

And it is a great way to flog knackered jump leads!

I suppose as well that it is dual purpose ! 2x crocodile clips to hold things together and you can strip it down and use the wire for snares and lashings.

why not using snares, tehy are already in the survival can.
Be carefull with those small wires, altough coated. When shortcutting a car battery, a very high current is flowing. Dont think the coating wil hold......

Let's face it - if you've got a vehicle then in all likelyhood you've got jump-leads already. And if you haven't then pack a set of jump-leads instead of this crap. At least then you'll have clips at either end and you can actually use them to jump your car.

Arghh... I'm having images of an A level physics class; doing experiments on the melting points of high resistance wire. I'd just finishing wiring it up, holding a length of bare wire in my hand, and some **** turned the powerpack on.
The burn marks were visible for about a year later!
