We both work long hours. You wouldn't believe the paperwork I have to do after a day out in the field. Luckily we both dovetail as much of our free time as we can quite easily. Which means me dragging her out into the field Many hands etc etc...

I have been painting my house ready for moving in at the end of the month. Once I'm in I can start on the garden.

Getting the rake warmed up for the leaves to come....I actually love Autumn my favourite season.

Just wandering what part of the country you live in. Different parts of the country have different facilities, woodland etc. Derbyshire is good. I love Matlock.

Is there still time to sow grass seed?
I need to spend some time on my garden.

Pushing it now - it takes about three weeks for grass seed to germinate unless you go for a "quick start" variety. If you are going to do it, you have only a few days to prepare and roll the tilth.

Best get a quick start variety, get it on fast and pray for warm weather.
