If its a defect in workmanship, pretty much forever.
Send it back to Burton McCall (the UK distributor and they usually will replace it,unless it was damaged through abuse.
You can replace the Blades if you have a little savvy. The pivot pins are retained by a sort of brass washer that is pushed over the pins on each side of the aluminium liners. You will need some 2.2mm brass rod as new pivot pins.make them about 1mm wider than the liners and then lightly pein them. Then replace those lovely red plastic scales with some nice wood.

How long does it run for

and can you replace broken blades yourself?

From what I understand the guarantee is that the product will be free of defects in the material or faults in the workmanship. The life time warranty is that so long as you “the original owner” namely the guy who paid for (or registered it if it was a gift from some one ) of their products have it. Then all repairs, caused by faults defects or poor workmanship, will be repaired free of charge. Their site says that “The warranty does not apply to damage caused by abnormal or unreasonable use of any of the implements”

I guess it’s a bun-fight over what is the legal definition of “What is Reasonable use”

The card that came with my knife says repairs have to be carrried out by an Approved person (dealer) authorised by them to perform any repair or modifications to any products. So I guess repairing a knife at home is a no-no and would invalidate their warranty
