Where Can I get a handle for my Ewell 6 Axe

I have my Grandfather's Ewell 6 axe and I need to replace the handle. Where can I get one? the handle is 35.4 inches long and the eye is 4 inches long. Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Richard Carter have 36" but only 3 1/4" eye.

You're likely to struggle to find a handle for an axe that size and age.

You'll do better either making your own or commissioning someone to do it for you.

Is the eye exactly 4" or just under ?

Oops...I see you're in Virginia, surely you'd be better off checking the USA outlets. There's bound to be more choice over there anyway..

If you're anywhere near Gloucestershire there's a weird and wonderful store called "Bailey's DIY" which carry range of various sized axe, and hammer handles. I had a massive felling axe-head which didn't seem to fit any traditional shaft but one witling down one of their pickaxe handles (£9 and hickory!) did the job.
