What footwear do you recommend for the following conditions?

Wet, rainy, mucky conditions.

Snow with perhaps wet slushy snow.

Has anyone tried out overboots-a boot that goes over your boot or just use the plain old Wellington?

Wellies, Wellies and Wellies with nice wooly socks. I've not used boots since 2009 now; whats the point if your only in the woods like me.

Got some nice ones in Wilkinsons for under a tenner a pair which are great, or get a posh pair for a hundred quid.

I love my Le Chameau wellies. But they are pricey - but very comfy and warm. I wear them most days. But, they don't have the best grip.

So, if I need grip - I go with my Hanwag boots and yeti gaiters :)

wht about pair of gaiters

What about them?

Interesting that the cheap Dunlop type wellies as used for hours on end, day after day by thousands of farmers and outdoor workers are ignored and the kit chat swings to the ridiculously priced end of the designer/named spectrum once again. My giddy aunt their are some posers in the woods lol.
