I find hat choice a really pain!
My go to is a cotton large brimmed affair however if I think there is going to be rain a baseball cap becomes the choice.
Plus I always have a beanie of some description.
I might Savage law a flat cap in place of the base ball cap for a more adult look.

One of those possum fur beanies from Woodlore would be a good purchase, they really are extremely soft and very warm.
My hat of choice last winter, very nice they are too. A friend of mine gave me a Scottish military Tam, it’s a cool hat but I’d feel foolish wearing it nice as it is. I guess my folks being Jockish on my mothers side I could get away with it

This scottish traditional headwear would not be so bad to wear wintertime, quite stylish.
