I can't find the exact pair to look at the specs of the boot, are these waterproof in any way, breathable ? just an afterthought. They are the thirtytwo fall 2014 if that means anything ????

Water resistant i think. Breathable yes as they are leather. The rubber bottom is waterproof as its one piece. Will try and find a pic and specs for you.

Starting to stress over baggage, I just spent a half hour trying to make sense of pricing online again, I'll call them up later and try and get some clarity.

There will be a TwoDogs fashion parade going on at Jokkmokk.

Damian has a couple of his jackets so I bet one will turn up. Deb's should have another by then and you two as well...

Not surprising though, Cliff does make exceedingly good kit.

In case you haven't seen it, Deb's jacket is the one in this thread.

Looks like a cracking job as usual.

Just got off the phone with Lufthansa, as per Dave's earlier post regarding extra baggage, so firstly, extra baggage up to 158cm h x w x l and up to 23Kg 150 Euro each way, so 300 Euro round trip, I mentioned sports equipment, and toboggans not being on their list, she said it would be ok but to get confirmation send an email to customer dot relations at lufthansa dot com and again, as Dave said, that is free up to 23Kg. I'm going to email them to clarify as I don't / can't have a 300 Euro shocker at check in, others may want to do the same ? unless you're minted ;)

Thats doesnt sound right Al.

My understanding is that I am taking;

1, 23kg bag, within their dimensions, of 158cm. HxLxW Free of charge.
1, large ski equipment bag, dimensions vary, so they are flexible, because people carry different size skis etc. Free of Charge. [Mines 6 feet long]
1. Handheld luggage. To be taken on board. Free of Charge.

Then, another 23kg bag, within their dimensions of 158cm, costing 75 euros, each way, which you can only pay at the desk upon arrival. So 150 Euros in total, return, for this extra bag.

You pay 75 euros on your way out. And 75 Euros on your way back, at the desk upon check in. Firstly at Birmingham, outward flight, secondly at Kiruna, return flight.

You cant book this extra bag online before the flight. You have to pay at the desk.

You should ring them, beforehand, on 0371 945 9797, and ask them to do it for you, they will then send you an email confirming it.

ASH, YOU NEED TO DO THIS MATE ASAP!

Hi mate, good to see you again, yep, that's the number I rang, everything you said here was the same apart from I was quoted at 150 Euro's each way, I'm still waiting on email confirmation about a toboggan being sports equipment as it's not listed on their site, this is the bug bear, I'm looking at 2 hold luggage, 1 free x 23Kg the other free sports equipment up to 23Kg, obviously this would be the toboggan and kit, I would hate to get to check in to be told there was a charge that I wasn't expecting, I'm working tighter and tighter on the trip ( as we all are ) just don't need or want an extra bill :) still waiting on confirmation, had an automated letter that said they would be in touch.

Just dont tell them its a toboggan. Its sports equipment, period. Just roll it up and shove it your bag.
