I'm more than happy with the Wagonmaster stew, got a one pot chilli con carne in the oven as I type. Think I better try and do a Bannock before the meet sounds like there is going to be a bit of healthy competition .

Ok been a busy day but here is it group meal list. Put your name against what you will bring some things are more expensive than others but I’ve done my best to be fair. Anything that’s not on the list but in the recipe I will bring myself as they are only little things like seasonings.


1 lb. cubed/diced beef - CBJ
1 lb. cubed/diced beef
1 lb. cubed/diced beef
60ml olive oil
5 carrots
4 stalks celery
6 medium potatoes
1 lb. bag frozen corn
1 lb. bag frozen petite peas
1 lb. bag frozen green beans
15 oz. can kidney beans

Pandabean some fresh thyme would be good if you could supply.

I can pick some meat up from Morrisons later this week and I have some olive oil that i bought and never used. One of those it looks good to buy at the time kind of things.
I will also bring along some fresh thyme

Hi Folks
I have been looking forward to the meet for ages, and have had the Saturday booked in my diary for a long time.
However, I am off to Finland for a work study tour the following week, and I have just found out that I have to attend a briefing to meet the rest of the team before I go. The other team members have suggested holding the briefing on the Saturday of our meet, so I may not be coming after all
I am trying to get the date changed, so I will have to wait and see what happens.
I'll keep you all posted.

Just wanted to wish you all the best for the coming weekend...I'm still compromised as far as travel and mobility goes so won't be able to make it (therefore your ears will be saved an assault by my efforts on the guitar lol). Group meal sounds good...I'll look forward to hearing about the meet (as well as the meat) on this thread, and hopefully will manage the next one Well done CBJ...you are a top man for organising all this.
